Markdownlint flags this with MD029 rule.
Markdown renders will usually use list continuation number if it can.
Explicitly adding it to the list item child scope makes it clearer.

Previously only V8 options supported both dashes in them (making them
equivalent), but now Node.js also supports both styles so the note can
be removed.

When changing from a recent version, e.g. 8.x to an older branch like 6.x
test artifacts sometimes hang around and cause failures. Using `git clean`
will prevent that from happening.
